Jesus Awakens the Man from the Skeleton
By Faith, Not by Flesh
There was once a man who had lost everything — not just his home, his health, or his hope — but his very essence. Life had stripped him down to the bone. All that remained was a shadow of who he used to be. His dreams were buried. His soul was silent. He was no longer living… just existing.
But then, Jesus came.
He didn’t come with loud noise or a flash of light. He came in stillness, in grace, in power. And when He spoke, even bones listened.
“Can these bones live?” the Lord once asked Ezekiel (Ezekiel 37). And now, the question echoed again — not just over a valley, but over one forgotten soul.
Jesus didn’t see a skeleton.
He saw a son.
He didn’t see ruin.
He saw revival.
He reached out, and life returned. The bones came together, strength entered the body, breath filled the lungs. What was once dry was now drenched in purpose. What was once dead was now alive.
This isn’t just a story of one man.
This is our story.
There are moments in life where we feel like skeletons — hollowed by loss, weakened by sin, emptied by the world. But Jesus doesn’t leave us in the graveyard of our past. He calls us out. He lifts us up. He awakens us with His voice.
“I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.” — John 11:25
No matter how broken you are,
No matter how far you’ve fallen,
Jesus can awaken you.
Jesus’ power transcends death. In a miraculous moment, He breathes life into a lifeless skeleton, transforming it into a living man.
This act represents more than physical resurrection; it symbolizes the spiritual rebirth He offers to all. Even in the face of despair, Jesus’ love restores us, bringing new life and hope.
